    NFTRC Hosts Dairy Processing Course

    National Food Technology Research Centre (NFTRC) through its Department of Extension and Training this week hosted a skills transfer programme on dairy processing.

    Mr Mompati Molao said it had been a while without NFTRC conducting this programme. He said the call to conduct this programme was motivated by demand from clients.

    He said turn-up for the current training workshop was however poor, as only two participants turned up even though many had shown keen interest in this programme. He said those who did not turn up complained of financial challenges.

    He said in the future they will intensify marketing of this training to target potential entrepreneurs through all communication channels and even in institutions that normally sponsor participants for trainings. He said the two participants attending this training are very interactive and easy to work with. Mr Molao said they were processing madila, set yoghurt, stirred yoghurt, and feta cheese.
