Nutrition Information Systems

To generate baseline data on the overview of the nutritional status of Batswana through regular surveys and to evaluate the nutritional adequacy of Batswana diets e.g. Food Consumption Survey and Food Composition Data Base.

Food & Nutrition Security

To contribute to the improvement of household food security e.g. Fortification

Diet and Diseases

To establish the relationship between nutrition and diet-related diseases of lifestyle at population level e.g. Hypertension Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Diseases

Nutrition, Promotion, Education and Communication

To improve nutrition knowledge, practices, perceptions and attitudes

Nutrition and Product Development

To facilitate the development of Safe Nutritious and Palatable (SNP) food products.
